During Paris Fashion Week 2015, designers took their collections to the runway and we went head over heels with the beautiful silhouettes showcased by James Bueno....
Initially self-taught, Bueno left his natal island of Corsica at 18 years old for London, seeking to nourish his passion for fashion. He studies at the famous London College of Fashion and also discovers the world of Couture at Thierry Mugler, Paris, first in Prêt a Porter and then Haute Couture.
We had an exclusive interview with the designer....
Find out what Bueno likes about designing, his inspirations and his exceptional hand-made frocks which have won him several prizes and soon to showcase more in Tokyo, Japan.

1: Jeremy, what made you decide to start your own luxury fashion brand?
It was always in me, I knew I wanted to be a designer since my childhood. When I won design competitions in Paris in 2007 i started showing my collection then. Couture was also an evidence to me as themade to measure concept, fine fabrics and embroidery.
2: Aside from Jeremy Bueno collections, which other fashion brand makesyour heart beat?
I love many designers, especially Lacroix, Mugler, McQueen, and all the real artists of the industry, those with a vision.
3: How would you describe your daily day in your busy design studio?
Every day is different, but my work is also based on collaborations with other artists, this is a part I very much enjoy!
4: Where do you find your inspirations for designing?
Inspiration may come from many places, I love historical references, color and texture. These themes often start a collection off.
5: You offer bespoke training in Atelier & Masterclass for fashion designers too, which is great for someone wanting to learn the ropes and break into the fashion designing career. How can someone get the chance to be trained by you?
We offer bespoke training as I realised that young designers need a real experience in a couture studio before setting themselves up. Unfortunately this isn’t always the case when they go on workplacements. I teach some of my technics, but also work on personal projects too. Nowadays I often travel to give these masterclasses abroad and to produce fashion shows abroad.
