Find out what really drives the force of James Davis and why he thinks that hair and beauty is the most important attributes for every woman, Plus his fabulous hair protecting spray; Herra Hair Care Perfume, including tips on how to maintain heathly hair during any hot weather conditions!
We are very interested in the Herra Hair Care brand, what really made you begin it?
I noticed how damaged hair got during the day from UV, air-conditioning, pollution etc, especially in the Middle East and when I realized there had never been a product created in the market to protect the hair from these my journey started.
What does hair and beauty mean to you?
These are both the most important attributes for every woman. Creating a product that crosses the hair and beauty boundaries with an emotional connection with the unique signature fragrance and protecting ingredients that will hydrate and create life back in the hair is a double bonus.
Since founding Herra Hair Care and launching the amazing and popular hair protect perfume, Herra Protect Hair Perfume’, what has been the best highlight so far during it’s journey?
My launch in my second home, Dubai & Launching in the most excusive store in the world, Harrods.
Tell us a secret you have did to your hair that no one knows about yet (until now – hehe)?
When I was 17 I bleached my hair completely and it went bright orange, for a full month I wore a hat and kept it hidden from my parents too. I think that’s why I went into hairdressing…ha!
While in any hot weather conditions, hair & beauty treatments are important than ever to keep a fresh maintained look, what advice do you have for those in need?
A little trick & tip: Get a nice protein treatment, at night before bed put it on your mid lengths to ends and clip it up in a bun, leave it over night and shampoo in the morning. During the 8 hours it was on you are giving the hair a good drink which penetrates shine and hydration into the hair.
We’ve already tried and tested out the Herra Project Hair Perfume and actually learned more about it during the launch event at the Make-Up ETC Boutique in Dubai, and including us - everyone loved the scent that it gave and the softness of the hair after using it. Will you be launching any other new flavours soon that we should know about?
Indeed I will be launching different scents and my next one will be catered for my friends in the Middle East. Its starts with ‘O’ and is only 3 letters long!!
We are wondering, if you have any other celebrity hair stylist that you admire and if so, why?
I have huge admiration for Vidal Sassoon and the legacy he has left for pure quality in our craft that his team will continue to deliver that message for years to come, also my dear friend Errol Douglas is a huge talent and amazing guy.
One last and most important question James, where is the Herra Hair Care brand sold?
In the UK, Harrods and the finest salons.
In the GCC I would ask Anna/Leah at Beauty Solutions.
