Fashion historian Jéromine Savignon’s book, Yves Saint Laurent’s Studio – Mirror and Secrets, is now available. The tome comes in French and English and contains about 40 unreleased images (including sketches and photographs of the designer at work in various studios) alongside quotes from Pierre Bergé. Savignon writes: “The process is a dogged pursuit of perfection in an almost mute effervescence.”

Well, we’re not really sure what Heidi Klum has to do with electronics, but someone at Sharper Image made a connection. That connection led to a semi-nude photo shoot and a resulting holiday campaign featuring the German model side-by-side various gadgets. The images feature provocative questions that connect the supermodel to your annual holiday gift giving.

Talk about an extreme shoe obsession. Kenneth Cole teamed up with Jill Martinfrom The Today Show to make a show that measures 6 feet, 2 inches tall and 6 feet, 5 inches long. The shoe, which breaks the Guinness Record for the largest heel ever, is modeled after Cole’s Otto leather lug-sole bootie from fall 2014. It took nearly 400 hours to create and required five and a half hides, as well as 3-D printing to craft the buckle and clasp.

Miuccia Prada is taking a “contemplative” approach to her Miu Miu resort 2015 advertising campaign. Photographer Jamie Hawkesworth juxtaposed shots of Natalie Westling with abstract landscapes. The campaign is slated to appear in magazines including Elle in France, Vogue in the US and Vanity Fair in Italy starting on November 15.

Europe’s first ever jewelry museum will open in Basilica Palladiana in December. The 4, 306-square-foot museum, called the “Museo del Gioiello,” will be directed by Italian jewelry expert Alba Cappellieri and spans two levels. The first floor will hold a museum shop, while the second will feature six rooms divided in nine different spaces, each of them dedicated to a different category of jewelry.
