TV CHEF ANDY BATES WILL DINE YOU SOON AT 'TASTE OF DUBAI'

Taste of Dubai returned to the UAE’s gastro scene last week, fresher and more original than ever before with a special event preview hosted by TV chef Andy Bates at Vida Food Truck in Downtown Dubai.

We enjoyed him serving up a sizzling menu of his latest street food creations in live demonstrations, and Bates whet guests appetites for what’s to come when the festival returns to Dubai Media City Amphitheatre from March 12th – 14th.

Chris Fountain, Managing Director of event organisers Turret Media, said: “Dubai’s cosmopolitan culinary scene is constantly changing, and we pride ourselves on delivering the emirate’s newest, and most vibrant restaurants, dishes and exhibitors every year.”

“Andy Bates and Vida Food Truck both represent a new flavour of dining in Dubai – one which we are looking forward to showcasing at Taste of Dubai next month,” he added.

This year’s mouth-watering line-up will entice guests with flavours from all around the world. Chef Andy Bates will join globally acclaimed Jean-Christophe Novelli, Jose Pizarro, Atul Kochhar, Master Chef champions Tim Anderson and Dhruv Baker, and Emirati baking sensation Bader Al Awadhi.

“Food is all about exciting the senses, enjoying life and having fun, and Taste of Dubai captures this spirit to perfection,” Bates said. “Dubai diners have the most discerning taste, and with such an exceptional group of chefs participating in Taste of Dubai, I’m sure that they won’t be disappointed!”

Vida’s Portable Gourmet Station, also known as the Vida Food Truck, is the ground-up restoration of a 1960s Airstream that offers a delectable twist on everyday classics. Airstreams are synonymous with a carefree, laid back lifestyle and this is reflected on the menu offered. We shall be at Taste this year for the first time and are so excited to be there.”

Taste of Dubai will showcase some of the best food offerings in the city, taking place at Dubai Media City Amphitheatre from Thursday 12 to Saturday 14 March 2015. The festival will run from 4 – 12pm on Thursday, 12pm – 12am on Friday and 12pm – 11pm on Saturday.
